Figured hard maple with ebony inlay in a blue-purple-magenta sunburst. The clear finish is food-safe, petroleum-free violin makers polymerized tung oil + pine resin. Paddle has a small amount of tearout at the handle. This paddle is admittedly one of my personal favorites. Almost a bat, still a paddle—use the narrow side and make it even more wicked.
